Leopard as a Neutral

 

First, you have to know that Jenna Lyons, creative director at J. Crew and fashion wunderkind, is my spirit animal. If her frequent romps with my other spirit animal Solange Knowles wasn’t enough to prove it, this quote from her sealed the deal.

As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral.

YES! I kind of love the idea of pulling outfits together in the eleventh hour. The times when I think too hard about something or go too deep in the closet to make something work are the times I feel most uncomfortable. Last year I searched HIGH and LOW for the perfect leopard print coat because in my mind it was a perfect go to. Leopard is one of those things that you have to do in moderation but you can do often – because it works in so many scenarios. As it turns out my quest for perfect coat/jacket had me end up with three, but really, who’s counting!
