As much I know Biggie’s Ten Crack Commandments and as hard as I have worked to heed all of his sound street advise,  I have to admit this outfit and this photoshoot had me getting high on my own supply. I first saw this Jetson sweater on a reality star on IG and thought to myself “…self, that’s hawt!” but I hunted it down and didn’t think the price, although not insane, was worth it. Fast forward a few weeks later and one of my go to blogger boos Miss Enocha of Locks & Trinkets has on this sweater AND she got it about 20% cheaper than I had seen it before. I hurried up and copped this little sartorial oddity and then went about thinking of how to style it. Turns out when the sweater arrived – it is indeed an oddity. The arms, while cute, are not conducive to actual, regular, day-to-day activity. Like, you can’t wear it to work or to a party where you plan on lifting your arms for the occasional “That’s my song!!” or “Heeeeey girl! You made it!!” This is a blogger’s sweater. Which is cool – because I happen to be a blogger! And trust – I will wear and restyle this bad boy again because…it’s fabulous. Weird arm usage aside – it feels and looks great on. So much so that when I showed up to take my pictures I had a whole other idea in mind: leather leggings, thigh high boots, big sloppy bun. But when I put the sweater on I just didn’t feel like dealing with the pants (those of you thickems like me who have had to fight with faux leather leggings know precisely what I mean). So I threw on the boots and jokingly said to my girl: “can I get away with this?” Well said girlfriend is a freshpot like me so she immediately replied YUP! Well then as I was walking out of her place I noticed her man’s all black baseball cap and grabbed it – what about this I asked her – again: YUP! And walla (calm down I can spell – it’s just funnier to me this way) I had an outfit.

The sweater/dress situation was sickening with the boots. I felt like a bawse trasping around in this get up – that I would most likely NEVER wear in real life – be clear. The sweater – yes. The boots – absolutely. The hat – possibly. The combo – only for y’all. 😉
